Foggy Brain? Try PQQ!

http://products.mercola.com/berberine-pqq-supplement/

I have studied about chronic fatigue syndrome,  fibromyalgia, cancer, and diabetes.  They all have something in common!  They all have to do with cells that have been cut off from energy.  It sums up to a self-imposed, inner oppression and makes us feel like someone is sitting on us.  Well, our cells feel like that too.

I was in the Doctor’s office for my physical and I was looking at this chart on the wall.  I am always “up” for a lesson.  Here is what I saw and what I learned.

If you look at the chart, the left side of the cell is healthy, the right side isn’t.  The cell wall and the cell receptor cites are the key.  They are letting things flow on the healthy side.  The unhealthy side is stuck.  That is how my little oppressed cells feel too!

There is no energy within the cells that don’t have open passage through the cell wall.  The nutrition would be glucose to the cells.  Within the cell receptor cites, the communication hormones of insulin are blocking the way in and out inhibiting the flow.  On the healthy cell it is handling (processing) the circulation of food and waste in and out of the body! Without this flow, we have aging, fatigue, muddled thinking and dirty blood.

Here we have an oriental medicine correlation.  The cell wall is the same as the body skin and the diaphragm.  All of which have three layers: Facing the world, facing the inner family life,  and the middle layer is the processor or information.

The chart was “teaching me” something, but I knew it was my spiritual spidey sense under the veil of normal life that was coming forward to say, “look right here”.  I came to an understanding of the emotional state of overwhelm and the cells of the pancreas.

I was “shown” that my cell receptors, (the left side of the cell wall) was blocked the same way it is on the image (see attached).  I realized that my pancreas area cells were low energy in the same way this image is.

Today, I had time to work with it.  Basically, the sugar I take in, is not getting into my cells.  The sugar is in my blood stream where it shouldn’t be and is damaging my tissue just like this chart says, only not to the massive extent that Diabetes Type 2 would experience it.   Clearly, my cells are under nourished causing various effects because my body can’t be as bright and shiny as I want it to be.  The cells aren’t getting their food.

When I explored why this happened, I saw myself collapsed and pushing everything away because I was overwhelmed.  No, I don’t want to do more or even to take time for myself.  I just wanted to work to make money (more energy), because I have too many bills to pay, boo hoo hoo.  I basically pulled negativity into me like a security blanket. (the diabetis beads into the cell receptor sites were a symptom of that)

Now,  what I have to do is open up!  I need to feel the flow of life go through me again!   I open up the cell, clear out the cell receptor sites and begin to process the sugar again.

This is a work in process but if I never post it and begin, I risk loosing this sweet information and the way out!

Things that make a significant difference!

Do not toxify your body.  Your microbes will want to cover them up and deaden the intensity as well as keep them alive in sugar and wax such as nuts, chocolate, cheese, etc. Instead stay with dark green leafy vegetables and heavy proteins.  Processing your discomfort is a gift to yourself.  Be present and get strong.  (Like any exercise,  it doesn’t feel good at first) DO IT.

Water.  Without hydration the body can’t and won’t function.  Not drinking enough water changes everything for the worse or better depending on the “line”.  Lights off or Lights on. Take your body weight and divide it by 2.  Then drink that in ounces per day.  Work from there and make sure to stay ABOVE that line.

Oils Coconut oil and later fresher seed oils are available to you and should be used even if you don’t understand or feel it.  The liver cleans you with oils.  Not using them is like taking a shower without soap. It’s okay, kind of.  NOT.  Use oils for your cells to clean themselves.  Fresher and more alive the better.  Look in this site for coconut oil posts and cellular oppression posts.

PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline Quinone)

•Supports healthy mitochondrial structure and function to help maintain healthy mental functions

•Clinical research is showing PQQ may protect brain health well into advanced years

•Promotes healthy structure and function of the mitochondria, the energy centers of cells

PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline quinone) is a relatively newly discovered vitamin-like nutrient related to the B-vitamin family. This natural compound found in an array of healthy foods displays antioxidant activity and neuro-protective actions that make it ideal for cognitive support. Studies suggest PQQ supports healthy mitochondrial structure and function to help maintain healthy mental functions like recall, memory and cognition as we age.

PQQ has been shown to be at least 100 times more efficient than vitamin C and all phenolic compounds tested to date in redox cycling potential.1

PQQ is found in beans, potatoes, parsley, green tea and fermented foods, and it’s also found in quite high amounts in human breast milk. In the body, PQQ is concentrated in vital organs that require high amounts of energy for optimal performance—organs like the brain and heart. Not surprisingly, PQQ is active within cellular mitochondria, the energy centers of cells. This has major implications for brain health, nervous system health and potentially other systems, structures and functions throughout the body, as it also displays antioxidant activity, neuroprotective action and cognitive benefits.

The breadth of PQQ’s potential benefits is nothing short of amazing. PQQ has been described as combining some of the best chemical features of vitamins C, B-2 and B-6 (reducing potential, redox reactions and carbonyl reactivity, respectively) into one molecule.2 In this way, PQQ is capable of acting directly as an antioxidant and then being recycled by glutathione back into an active form, substantially extending its antioxidant capabilities.

Current research on PQQ is looking into how it may benefit brain health specifically, as scientists believe the brain is at most risk of mitochondrial function decline. In the research, PQQ has been shown to support healthy mitochondria as well as something called nerve growth factor, which is essential for the growth and maintenance of healthy neurons and branching nerve cells. This means PQQ may prove helpful in maintaining healthy brain function well into our advanced years.

Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, take 20mg per day with water.

“Breakthrough Discovery for Mitochondrial Health: Berberine and PQQ”

The latest science reveals exciting new roles for two less known supplements, crucial to the round-the-clock workings of your mitochondria. Who would ever suspect that a valuable metabolic master switch and a component of interstellar stardust may be one of the most important combinations ever for your mitochondria health?

As you’re well aware, your body grows older with each passing day. But did you know that the ‘battery’ driving your body’s aging is your mitochondria – those powerful energy factories within your cells?

For the first time, researchers have proven that mitochondrial function is associated with cell aging.

In a recent study, a research team successfully ‘tricked’ older cells into eliminating their damaged mitochondria until all were removed. They were stunned to discover that once these older cells shed their worn out, damaged mitochondria, they resembled younger cells!

These newly rejuvenated cells displayed levels of oxygen free radicals and expression of genes typical of more youthful cells.

mitochondria
Mitochondria (violet-colored structures) in animal cell

This and similar studies confirm three important key points about how your mitochondria influences age-related changes in your body:

  • As you grow older, your mitochondria undergo damage and mutations that affect how well they function
  • Damaged mitochondria accumulate in cells
  • Your cells produce fewer new mitochondria as you age

Healthy mitochondria are essential to your health. They produce 95 percent of your body’s energy in the form of ATP, and they are also responsible for essential apoptosis or programmed cell death.

Your mitochondria also provide important signaling molecules for the expression of your genes, and they help promote a normal inflammatory response throughout your body.

Your mitochondria are so powerful, many experts believe they largely determine how long you live!

What You Don’t Know About Your Mitochondria Could Be Disastrous for Your Health

Many people are surprised to learn that they have two different types of DNA, or two sets of genetic blueprints, inside their cells.

The first type, your cellular or nuclear DNA, is what likely comes to mind when you think of your cells’ genetic material.

But you have another whole set of genetic material, and, as we’ve just learned, this DNA may actually determine your longevity.

mitochondrion

Unlike the other components inside each of your cells, your mitochondria have their own DNA. And considering some of your cells can contain as many as 2,500 mitochondria, that’s a lot of genetic material!

Having their own DNA means your mitochondria have the ability to replicate and increase their numbers inside each of your cells.

Scientists now realize that the greater the number of mitochondria in your body and the healthier their functioning, the greater your odds are of living a healthy, long life.

But here’s the problem with your mitochondrial DNA… It’s far more susceptible to severe oxidative damage than your cellular DNA.

Because your mitochondria create 95 percent of the energy for your body’s processes, they sit in the midst of an enormous firestorm of oxidative activity. This continuous activity unleashes damaging free radicals and toxic reactive oxygen species.

Your mitochondrial DNA doesn’t have the same structural defenses and repair systems as your cellular DNA. So the genetic material in your mitochondria mutates at a much faster pace and accumulates in your body as you age.

Scientists are now convinced that damaged mitochondria and mitochondrial dysfunction are important contributors to the normal aging process and can affect your health.

What’s Harming Your Mitochondria?

high-carb diet
The high-carb Standard American Diet (SAD) can harm your mitochondria

When you’re younger, your mitochondria are well protected by your body’s natural defenses. As you age, that protection fades. The older you get, the faster your mitochondria deteriorate and become dysfunctional.

Mitochondrial dysfunction is most striking in high energy-demanding tissues and organs like your brain, heart, and muscles.

Studies show that brain cells in those over 70, on average, contain 50 percent more mitochondrial damage that do brain cells of middle-aged adults.

Besides cellular oxidative activity, diet is one of the biggest factors that influence the health of your mitochondria.

What you eat can make or break your mitochondria!

Your mitochondria are nourished by certain fuels and harmed by others. So, a healthy diet is one that supports mitochondrial function and prevents dysfunction.

Most people worldwide who eat a primarily processed food diet are burning carbohydrates as their primary fuel.

Burning carbs for fuel shuts down your body’s ability to burn fat. I believe this is why so many people find it nearly impossible to lose weight and keep it off.

When your body burns primarily carbs for fuel, excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) and secondary free radicals are created, which damage cellular mitochondrial membranes and DNA.

When you eat a low net carb (total carbs minus fiber) diet with adequate protein and high in healthy fats – or a cyclical ketogenic diet – you can reach a state called nutritional ketosis where your body burns fat as its primary fuel, instead of sugar.

In ketosis, your body regains its metabolic flexibility to burn fat for fuel and your liver creates water-soluble fats called ketones that burn far more efficiently than carbs.

Why a Cyclical Ketogenic Diet May Be Your Mitochondria’s Best Friend

Baked Avocado with Egg
Avocado baked with egg and parmesan cheese is just one ketogenic meal idea

Becoming an efficient fat burner through ketosis is one of the most important strategies you can implement for your mitochondria – and your health.

‘Clean burning’ ketones create far fewer reactive oxygen species and secondary free radicals to damage your cellular and mitochondrial DNA, membranes, and proteins.

Ketones also mimic the lifespan-extending properties of calorie restriction or fasting, which includes optimal glucose metabolism.

As beneficial as a ketogenic diet is for your mitochondria, I don’t recommend staying on it for an extended period.

Once you’re able to burn fat for fuel, I suggest switching over to a cyclical ketogenic diet, or feast-famine.

At that point, you begin cycling in and out of nutritional ketosis by upping your carb and protein intake once or twice a week.

Surprisingly, by periodically “pulsing” or consuming a higher carb intake – say, 100 or 150 grams of carbs opposed to 20 to 50 grams per day, your ketone levels will dramatically increase and your blood sugar will drop.

After a day or two of this feasting, you then cycle back into nutritional ketosis (the “fasting” stage) for the remainder of the week.

My recent bestselling book, Fat for Fuel, explores these concepts in great detail and provides indispensable guidance for not only reaching ketosis but moving beyond into cyclical feasting and fasting to maintain your fat burning ability.

I suggest ordering your own copy of Fat for Fuel today, as there are far too many details and valuable tips for effective fat burning to present here.

Bottom line, if you want truly healthy mitochondria, a ketogenic diet isn’t optional. It’s a non-negotiable necessity.

The Race Against Time… How to Help Increase the Number of New Mitochondria in Your Aging Body

Researchers believe you may have about a 10-year window of opportunity to help save your mitochondria, from the time they first become damaged. Early changes in mitochondrial function may be reversed if caught early, and before the damage becomes permanent.

Aside from following a ketogenic or cyclical ketogenic diet, what else can you do to help protect the mitochondria you do have? And how can you help stimulate mitochondrial biogenesis or the growth of new mitochondria?

woman exercising dumbell
Exercise helps create new mitochondria and purge damaged ones

Exercise. Studies show that the mitochondrial DNA in muscle declines as you grow older. Regular, high-intensity exercise and maintaining a healthy weight may have a positive influence on mitochondrial health and life span.

Moving throughout your day – and avoiding prolonged sitting – are both important for your mitochondria. Any time your body experiences a greater energy need (as with exercise), it creates new mitochondria.

Exercise also helps stimulate mitophagy, or the removal of damaged mitochondria so they don’t accumulate in your cells.

Avoid environmental toxins. Glyphosate, the active ingredient in the herbicide Roundup, prevents the uptake of manganese and zinc, important minerals for protecting your mitochondria from oxidative damage.

The Roundup formula also makes your mitochondrial membranes more permeable, allowing more glyphosate to enter. And that, in turn, interferes with energy production.

Certain nutrients. A number of nutrients support mitochondrial function:

  • Ubiquinol (or CoQ10) – One of the most important antioxidants for protecting mitochondrial DNA, but levels decline rapidly with age
  • Magnesium – Helps increase the efficiency of your mitochondria to repair damage and produce ATP (energy)
  • Animal-based omega-3 fatty acids – Positively alter mitochondrial membrane structure and improve mitochondrial dysfunction in brain aging
  • All B vitamins (including thiamin, riboflavin, and B6) – Required as coenzymes for enzymes essential for cellular and mitochondrial function
  • Berberine – Supports mitochondrial health by activating AMPK which helps regulate energy homeostasis*
  • PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline quinone) – Helps protect mitochondria from oxidative damage and it stimulates the growth of new mitochondria*

There’s a good chance  Tr haven’t heard much about Berberine or PQQ, especially as they relate to your mitochondria. However, the latest research shows both are important for mitochondrial health as they play critical roles in up-regulating and down-regulating important biochemical pathways.

Let me tell you more…

Berberine: One of the Few Compounds in Nature Known to Activate Your Metabolic Switch and Help Protect Your Brain Cells

Berberine
Berberine is a yellow-colored alkaloid compound found in Oregon grape and other plants

Berberine is a yellow-colored alkaloid compound found in a number of plants: European barberry, goldenseal, Amur cork tree, Oregon grape, goldthread, tree turmeric, and phellodendron.

Originally isolated from traditional Chinese herbs, Eastern practitioners have known about berberine’s many potential benefits for centuries.

But it’s the most recent research that really has people excited about berberine for overall health and mitochondrial health.

There are about 2,800 berberine studies listed on PubMed and over a third of them are from the last 5-7 years!

So why all the excitement over a yellow-colored compound?

It has much to do with a vital enzyme inside your cells – adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase, or AMPK. Regarded as your metabolic master switch, AMPK plays a crucial role in regulating your metabolism.*

Researchers have discovered that berberine activates AMPK, which helps:

  • Regulate biological activities that promote normal balances of energy, lipids, and glucose*
  • Coordinate your body’s response to stressors*
  • Support cellular repair and maintenance*

And here’s something else you need to know about this alkaloid compound….

Berberine and Ketogenic Diets: A Match Made in Heaven?

Berberine ketogenic diet effects
Berberine enhances the effects of a ketogenic diet

Ketogenic diets provide profound protective benefits for your nerve and brain cells, but researchers are just now learning why…

The latest research on rats shows that the ketone bodies made by your liver during nutritional ketosis and fasting initiate three actions in your neurons, or nerve cells:

  • Increase levels hypoxia-inducible factor-1α, or HIF-1α
  • Activate Sirtuin 1, or Sirt1
  • Decrease mTORC1 activity

Together, these three actions help turn on what’s known as neuronal macroautophagy, or the purging of defective mitochondria from your cells.

Because berberine activates AMPK, as well as the activator for Sirt1, it helps boost autophagy in your cells. This, in turn, enhances the positive benefits from a ketogenic diet!

Studies also suggest that mitochondria are an important target of berberine.

While berberine’s role in cell health is still being closely studied, researchers do know that mitochondria selectively seek out and store berberine.

Because berberine is known to be involved in apoptosis, or normal programmed cell death, this potential advantage could play an important role in promoting healthy normal cell growth and development!*

Berberine Mimics the Effects of Exercise, Dieting, and Weight Loss!*

When AMPK is activated in your cells, an interesting cascade of events occurs. AMPK produces benefits similar to exercising, dieting, and weight loss!

woman eating salad
Berberine has similar effects on your body as restricting caloric intake

While I certainly don’t recommend using berberine as a replacement for exercise or a healthy diet, research clearly shows it holds value for:

  • Slowing the release of free fatty acids to help prevent harmful fat deposits*
  • Promoting insulin, leptin, and adiponectin function for a healthy metabolism*
  • Supporting healthy blood sugar levels already in the normal range*
  • Promoting healthy insulin sensitivity*
  • Promoting healthy gut microflora*
  • Supporting healthy lipid metabolism*
  • Stimulating the release of nitric oxide for healthy blood flow*

Researchers have found that while berberine activates the enzyme AMPK, it inhibits what’s known as PTP1B activity. That action provides important support for healthy normal blood sugar levels.*

In one study, obese adults took 500 mg of berberine three times daily for 12 weeks study subjects saw a 23 percent decrease in triglycerides and a 12.2 percent drop in cholesterol levels.*

Berberine also plays an important role in promoting brown fat activity and boosting fat burning in your mitochondria.* Brown fat is a mitochondria-loaded, heat-generating type of fat that burns energy instead of storing it.

A study with mice showed berberine increased the expenditure of energy, and specifically enhanced brown adipose tissue (BAT) activity in mice who were obese.*

If you have a couple or a few extra inches to spare, especially stubborn belly fat, increasing the burning of brown fat may be a desirable side benefit of berberine!

Isolated in Interstellar Stardust by NASA, PQQ May Be a Breakthrough for Mitochondrial Health*

Every now and then a nutrient comes along that generates a great deal of excitement in the research community.

As we’ve already seen, Berberine is one of those nutrients. PQQ, or pyrroloquinoline quinone, is another…

First identified as an enzyme cofactor in 1979 in microorganisms, PQQ has also been potentially detected in interstellar samples collected by NASA’s probe Stardust.

pqq
NASA has detected PQQ in interstellar stardust

Here’s the significance of this finding:

  • PQQ has been around for a long, long time
  • PQQ is ubiquitous and humans and animals have been widely exposed to it
  • PQQ is involved in many critical biological functions

Its potential benefits are impressive, and its involvement in important cell signaling pathways indicate PQQ is an especially crucial nutrient for your mitochondria.*

Researchers have found that PQQ works exceptionally well with CoQ10 or ubiquinol, the reduced form of CoQ10. Ubiquinol and CoQ10 optimize mitochondrial function and help protects them from free radical and ROS damage, while PQQ, also a coenzyme, triggers the creation of new mitochondria.*

How PQQ Helps Create New Mitochondria in Aging Cells

pqq-mitochondria
PQQ activates genes that create new mitochondria in your cells

Even though PQQ is bacterial in nature, your body and your gut microbiome do not have the ability to produce it naturally. That suggests PQQ may be an essential micronutrient.

In 2010, a team of researchers at the University of California discovered that PQQ has the unusual ability to activate not one, but three cell signaling pathways:

  • PGC-1 – stimulates genes that enhance mitochondrial and cellular respiration, growth, and reproduction*
  • CREB – interacts with histones that protect and repair cellular DNA while stimulating the growth of new mitochondria*
  • DJ-1 – like PGC-1 and CREB, DJ-1 supports cell function and survival, especially in the brain, and helps guard against cell death from antioxidant stress*

A 2012 research advance took a closer look and found that PQQ activates genes that induce mitochondrial biogenesis, or the spontaneous formation of new mitochondria in aging cells.*

Scientists also observed that when cells are deficient in PQQ, a significant number of genes can be profoundly affected.

A total of 438 genes to be exact…

Most impacted are those genes involved in cellular stress, cell signaling, metabolite transfer, and the biogenesis of new mitochondria.*

However, the researchers were able to reverse the negative effects by providing PQQ supplementation.

The importance of PQQ for the growth of new mitochondria was further confirmed by a recent mouse study. Mice deficient in PQQ were shown to have a 30-40 percent reduction in numbers of mitochondria, compared to mice who were supplemented with PQQ.

Up to 5,000 Times More Efficient Than Vitamin C at Reducing Oxidation

As we’ve seen, damage to mitochondrial DNA from the massive assault of free radicals and reactive oxygen species is a root cause of aging.

That makes antioxidants especially valuable for protecting your mitochondria. But some antioxidants are clearly more effective than others…

Research shows that PQQ is 30 to 5,000 times more efficient at reducing oxidation than other common antioxidants such as vitamin C.

This 2010 study contrasted the protective effects of PQQ with other antioxidant compounds. Not only were those differences great, but the difference in the amounts needed of various compounds to effectively increase the number of mitochondria and mitochondrial functioning was especially striking.

While it took millimoles of other compounds to achieve cellular protection, the dietary concentrations of PQQ required could be measured in nanomoles!

Considering that one millimole equals one million nanomoles, that’s a profound difference in concentrations!

PQQ is found in human milk and in small amounts in many common foods, including kiwi, natto, tofu, green tea, and green peppers.

Researchers now believe higher doses of PQQ – higher than what’s found in foods – may be valuable for:

  • Energy production*
  • Supporting neurological function*
  • Supporting immune health*
  • Supporting cardiovascular health*
  • Enhancing antioxidant status in tissues and cells*

And its effects on cerebral function, memory, and metabolism have been studied as well…

Studies Confirm PQQ’s Potential Effects on Brain Function, Memory, Stress, and Sleep

Several human studies support claims about PQQ’s effects on cognitive health and brain function, as well as stress and sleep quality:

woman studying
PQQ improves cognitive functioning in middle-aged and elderly persons*
  • PQQ helps brain cells function more efficiently.* PQQ has been shown to facilitate nerve regeneration and enhance nerve growth factor.*  And it increases the number and efficiency of mitochondria.*
  • PQQ improves cerebral function.* The effect of PQQ on cerebral function and anti-stress activity was tested in 71 human subjects over a 12-week period using 20 mg of PQQ and 20 mg of PQQ with 100 mg of CoQ10. Both groups showed improvements in high-level cerebral functions, including attention and information discrimination.*
  • PQQ with or without CoQ10 improves memory.* This double-blind study among adults aged 50-70 evaluate PQQ with CoQ10 (or ubiquinol) and PQQ alone for 24 weeks. Both groups experienced immediate improvement with memory and other brain functions like spatial awareness.*
  • PQQ helps counteract the effects of stress and improves sleep quality.* A group of 17 adults took a daily dose of 20 mg of PQQ for 8 weeks. All six measures of vigor, fatigue, tension, mood, anger-hostility, and confusion improved significantly.* Quality of life and sleep also improved significantly.*

PQQ, like Berberine, clearly plays an important role in many aspects of health and daily life.

Brewing Kombucha for Health and Beauty

Brewing Kombucha is one of my new winter hobbies.  It comes to me as a way to cut through some of my own internal physical issues and satisfies my quest to have living food.  In this case, probiotics.

I started with Kefir and began to keep a dairy culture, although dairy and I don’t do that well for each other, the grains love it and then I can cultivate and use the grains to culture fresh coconut, vegetables and put it in other things like Kombucha hybrid.

Here is what I learned and what I did with my Kombucha quest.

1.  I didn’t want to use anything that my body couldn’t handle and I have a blood sugar problem.  So until my pancreas clears out, I needed to proceed carefully.

2 I found on the happy herbalist’s website some instructions on brewing that really appealed to me.  “At 80 F. 6-8 days the optimum balance is achieved and is now considered the normal brewing cycle where taste and benefit may meet.”

3. Also on the happy herbalist’s website I found  an aged tea that I felt happy with inside because it wasn’t a rude, crude tea and I needed to use tea for the acidic value I needed.  My feelings probably come from my past memories of being in the mountains of Asia.  That is where tea is happy and “knows itself”.

Using my spidey sense for safety

SD Sensitive says: Your comment is awaiting moderation.

I am a newbie at surfing since September. I wanted to play with the dolphins at my beach. I “squealed” (inwardly) to the dolphins to see if I could get an invite to play. I got (inwardly) “We are fishing over here. There are predators that you don’t want to excite.” Then a stern hush.

Without making a conscious decision, I found myself on the beach wondering what just happened. Did I just get reprimanded by a dolphin? For not knowing how to act in the presence of  a . . . shark?

Two days later 10/31/11 was an official siting at Beacons, SD, CA (my beach) of an 8-10 ft great white shark circling someone in chest high water at 2:30. It was the sardines.

The lesson was clear. Don’t draw attention to yourself.
BTW, learn how to use your “spidey sense”. It comes in handy in lots of ways.

My first lesson from surfing is KEEP GOING.  I will warm up.   Said another way.  I gotta be moving (have movement) to be successful.  I can’t correct myself or even learn much if I am doing nothing!  Keep moving!  Trust the force.

residual diseases

This was an answer to a client’s email I thought others could benefit from. I don’t have time to write this up formally into an article at the moment but I hope you get the gist.

Your body has what we call “residual diseases”.  Things that are hidden and “stored” in a domant state within the body.  They still have a great effect!  They have a homeopathic effect and the microbe or toxin will have an effect on your consciousness.  Like if you are experiencing fear, your kidneys might get some microbe that lives in the energy of that fear and the energy is so strong, the immune system can’t clear the microbe.  The microbe and the fear win and the microbe begins to damage the kidney organ tissue.  (thats an issue in the tissue)

You want to do two things all the time to give your cellular structure the strength to do something about these old conditions:

1. Eat for your cells not for your comfort.  Eat the right foods, clean protiens, lots of vegetables, salads and live food. (doesn’t sit in a dormant state on a shelf or in a grain silo for years)

2. Remove things from your body that irritate it. This includes not putting irritating foods and beverages in your body just for comfort.  It takes LOTS and lots of energy to remove toxins that you eat.  If I eat certain foods they “blow me out” for three days.  If I were to eat them all the time, I wouldn’t remember that there was a “clear state of mind” because I would be so distorted.  It is a gentle mirror like the calm water of the pond.  Don’t blow yourself out and you are likely to find a heaven you didn’t know existed!

3. Clean your body.  You would wash your windshield if you couldn’t see from it.  Why don’t people realize their bodies get dirty?  They definitely don’t realize that a dirty windshield will make them feel sad, small, less than all those other pretty windshields/competent minds.  How did they get there anyway the less than part will muse.     If you could see your body as dirty, you would move so fast to clean yourself!  Just because we can’t see it, doesn’t mean it isn’t there.

3. Stay conscious.  Be present with what is going on in your world and PROCESS IT as you go.  What is going on within your body.  You are an organism.  You have cell walls that see out and they see in.  You have skin that sees out, and sees in.  Are you listening consciously to both functions?   Can you see clearly what your body is doing?  You should be able to.  The equipment is there.  Pay attention.

There are many things to do such as fasting, resetting the pituitary system, etc. that come up to address specific concerns,  that’s my job to determine which direction and which correction.

for you Specifically:

Pork = yes.  this has been the source of many parasites.  Ask yourself, what have I called this in to show me?  What am I doing, choosing into my field that goes against my nature?  When you take the resonance of the pork and go looking or it in your body (like a jigsaw puzzle piece) you are looking for a frequency.  The frequency you are looking for, will be significant to the resolving of the issue.  The issue is old and therefore that means it is karmic.  Within the frequency,  you will be finding the story of how that residual disease started and the clues for how you can help yourself, you will feel what you need, and you can finish the unresolved issue once and for all and be free. (maybe not for all people but those who are listening will pick up the new info in the field and it will assist them to assemble their puzzle.)

Cortizone – this hasn’t come out yet.  it will be ready to leave in the next few months.

Many of the bits of turbulence you may be experiencing is from things leaving you such as this.  the cortizone looks big to your body.  you might need something and so your body is showing you, flashing that thought to you so you can do something it needs.  Like find something to support the cortizone channel that it has to leave on.

The more balanced and steady you become, the more your body can off load.  Yippie.

Your prenatal environment – if mom had an infection, it might have been the baby (that would be you)  calling in something or a condition that it wanted and needed in order to manifest the karma that it has. Do you test or match your frequency with this idea?  if so, It might have been the baby giving the mother the cues to create infection because the baby needed it.  If this is the case in this condition, then Mom was probably drawn to eat sweets or something to further feed the sugar cravings from the bacteria creating a cycle that was hard to break.  this would cause resentment of a mom that didn’t want to be “taken in that direction.”   The pattern can be broken by discovering the frequency and what it is about.

Begin with the consciousness work of your need to call in the condition and let it show you . . . . what it is there for.

I would believe that we are looking at some past life bitterness.  Something that looks like the family you came in to be with and how the dynamics fall into place.  Basically, how all of the big picture suits you.  Then, we usually start a compensation behavior because the stress of our other behavior and the negativity vortexing within, is so stressful that we start doing the little behaviors that look silly to us.  Because we forgot what they were connected to (conveniently) and keep trying to bury the bigger issue.  Yet all the time, it is loving pointing to it.

You behavior appears to be the fussing/obsessing of small detail and analyzing.  We assume so you don’t have to deal with life’s overwhelming events that haven’t been processed yet.  Go into training.  Learn to process everything you can.  When you find the big one, you will be ready for it.  If you don’t train, you won’t increase your ability and you may stay on the karma route until you can train and get through it.  Support helps.  We can gain strength from other’s and their demonstration of inspiring acts.  That’s what I try to do with you.  I don’t do it for you, but I will lend you my processing power to get a big one through.  Cells will pool their glow of energy so that means we can too.

Bitterness as an option for you.  It is a reaction that is a choice.  It is clearly drawn from the well of the  negative power and not the Light.  Therefore, you might want to release the dark reaction  and restructure that reaction to be one of calling in the light.  Further, you will want to go of the bitterness and all the times that negativity was choosen in to reduce the magnetic field of that choice and its effect on your field.   If you do that, the infection in your body old and new will release.

Another way to ‘get to it” and speed the release is to not feed the bacteria.  They love sugar.  They will crave it and call you to eat it.  You will say, “why am I eating this?”  Oh.  yeah,  I have some athlete’s foot going.  Right, that will want the sugar.  Feeding a pattern like this can increase the negative energy and reinforce who is in charge.  Not feeding the pattern will show the bacteria who is in charge.

Further, disinviting the microbe and the negative energy is in order. Remember, you have called it into your home.  Once it is there, it doesn’t leave because it is held with magnets.  However, you can gently disengauge the magnets and consciously say to the bacteria,  I no longer require your services. (I am breaking up with you). You need to leave and I am not going to call you anymore.

Once you disengauge the pattern a flood of bacteria will release.  It will come out by itself. You will have a flood of bitterness, pissyness or whatever the energy of the pattern was as the bits of it’s empire are going down the drain.  Good on you!  Continue the protocols until there is nothing left anywhere.  Then choose the Light.  This actually has to be done in strides that you can handle and they will get bigger and stronger as you practice.

Do you see?  by both by feeding it and using the behavioral pattern of negative choice, the bacteria will leave and there will be no more need to have it called into your awareness.  Just watch for the next one to present itself until all the layers are gone.   Meanwhile the bacteria you are experiencing is a symptom of an emotional pattern.  If you aren’t using it, it won’t stay.

Things aren’t as they seem! Nor are they otherwise.

I love these pictures because it shows the impossible according to how we were taught.  It goes to show us that things are not as they seem.

I see this as acts of kindness that are bigger than our current perception and beliefs about how animals act towards a species which is customarily prey.

For me, such examples require that we drop all pretense of our own beliefs.  We are still very far away from understanding the mysteries of this physical existence.  For me, my comfort of what I know cannot be challenged by what others think.  I hold my beliefs in such a way that I can be shown, edited, etc.  I listen to my muses.

Here is one of the examples that first opened my mind.  I read a book about Findhorn, a place in Northern Scotland.  The energy here was so high and the gardens were so loved that there were roses growing in the snow.  It was a passage from a book that defied my ability to understand because it was an anomaly.    An anomaly like that is intended to break all the rules and leave me open about all possibilities.   I am not one of them that says, “That’s preposterous!”  I am one of those who say, “Show me more so that I can understand.”

The All Important Nerves & Oils

I love understanding the body through energy. I wish you could see what I see!

I see things the way the oriental healers did. Energy running through lines in the body. Attitudes messing up the flow.  Sticky nasty energy being used like hate, fear and doubt and completely shutting down the cells!

I see the body relating within itself like a fractal.  It is quite beautiful to see a little body of a fetus in the ear, or a small person in your middle finger or expanding that to the size of the hand.  It also is amazing to give TLC to the small part and have the body respond!

One of the big learnings of the decade for me came from a book I read by Bruce Lipton called The Biology of Belief. He talked about cells and their lifestyles within the body. He told me that cells have their brains in the cell wall. So that means our skin is really important as our nervous system because it is our cell wall. What if. . . our skin and the cell wall and the brain all represent our cerebral nervous system?

What we know about the cell wall is that it  uses oil which is about the consistency of butter. (same as the brain) We also have brain tissue under our stomach!  Ever feel like you got kicked in the stomach when no one even touched you?

There is so much we don’t know about the body!  There are some very important things that we need to know in order to stay well!  Do we manage our body?  Do we look out after what it needs?  Let’s look at how you are doing with the basics.

  • Eat right
  • Get a good night’s sleep
  • Exercise
  • Peace of mind

How are we doing so far?

Wouldn’t it be great if all those problems just disappeared?  They can!  But not by ignoring them.  It takes work to give the body what it needs.  You have to be patient and committed.   You need to listen inside and give your body a hand when it needs it.

Let’s talk about what the brain needs to be healthy.  There is B vitamins, oxygen, folic acid and Omega 3’s.  There are scores of articles on the internet but they aren’t thought out enough.  They all contain things that just aren’t true!
What is good fat?

First, let’s understand that there are two essential building blocks that you cannot get anywhere else except your diet. They are used in the brain, the cell membranes, the casing around the mitochondria and nuclei.  There is no way the body can find scraps of short chains and build the long chains they need! You have to take them whole in a food or a supplement.

These building blocks are DHA and EPA. They are essential fatty acids which make up Omega 3 oils.  This is the oil configuration that triggers anti-inflammation.  It is usually found in fish oil supplements. Unless you are an Eskimo, you aren’t going to get enough of these essentials in your diet. We need to TAKE THEM!

Finding them is a trick too! We have been trained to find good oils in nuts, avocados, fish and the like, but it is actually not always good for our brains and oil production to get too many nuts. They contain Omega 6. This is the one that increases inflammation, causes aging and disease because the cell wall can’t pass things through with this guy around.   (We need that action for when we need it but not for most daily functions. )

We need Omega 3. We need quite a bit of it. It needs to be balanced perfectly for us between EPA and DHA.  Omega 3 cannot be found in adequate supply by combining flax and Alpha Lipoic Acid.  These are short chains that take work to convert and only produce about 5% of what we need daily.     It does contain some but it also contains more Omega 6 which quickly cancels out is benefits.

Healthy brains need to take clean, molecularly distilled fish oil supplements daily! It needs to be balanced in EPA and DHA.  What does clean mean? The particles and heavy metals must be removed from both wild caught and farm raised fish.

What happens if we don’t get Omega 3’s?

If we don’t get all the Omega 3’s that we need, our cell walls become rigid and nothing can pass in or out.  We become septic, dehydrated, and starving.  Then, if we eat too much animal protein, too much bad cooking fats, our bodies just can’t do anything with it except to wrap it in fat and hope a better day comes along.

This is the basis for disease and aging.  We stop living and start waiting for something or someone to “save us”.  This is not necessary with the TLC to your body you need.
Want some help?

Want a free recommendation which has been custom chosen for your body by your body?  I am not selling anything!    I can translate that for you what your body wants and needs! .

  1. Post a comment  on this page, below this blog.
  2. Ask me to check your body for it’s best source of Omega 3 oil.
  3. If you have some ideas in mind, let me know what they are and I will check them.
  4. If you have an illness, let me know.

If we are going to open our minds and hearts,  we must take care of the basics for our bodies.

Because we aren’t all equal, I am here to help you determine what works for you!

Why is my bladder so over-active?

I am an energetic healer whose mother had an aching over active bladder.

She had a case of interstitial cystitis diagnosed from her specialist.

While I was visiting, I was uncomfortable with my mother’s pain so I did some
things to help her.

1.  I asked her to “quiet down”.  It was as if she had alarm bells ringing in her body.
2.  I asked her to drink more water, not less
3.  I asked her to relax and get more comfortable with where she was right now.

She showed immediate relief.  I was on my way back home and was glad I could help her.

A week and a half later, she calls me and says the doctor says she is better.  He said
that I was the one that helped her, not him.  He asked me into the research lab because
they haven’t had such good results and they wanted to know more.

Here is what I told them.

We don’t often hear what the body hears.  My mother had tripped some serious alarms
and those alarms where ringing through her body.  They were things that she didn’t want to forget.
She and I sat down and turned off those alarms coming from the central nervous system.
the result was a quieter body.

So how does sound relate to the bladder?  In oriental medicine. the bladder is about right now.
It wants to respond through fight or flight to anything that it can, RIGHT NOW.  When there isn’t
anything to respond to, nothing it can discern, it has to ignore the alarms.  When the person can’t
turn off the alarms, it makes the bladder crazy.

What is a bladder to do?  It has ears all around the cells.  It grabs anything it can find and it “stuffs”
this pillow of debris all around each of the cells.  You can imagine the mess!  If this debris isn’t
clean it can start to get infected.  Especially if it doesn’t have enough water to flow through and
carry away the bad stuff.

People think that because they have to urinate urgently, that this is bad.  It isn’t really.  It just means
that there are toxins in the urine and it doesn’t want them around.  When we drink more water,
the urine is less toxic, and after a while,  you can hold it.

Healthy people drink lots of water.  Water will “cure” many ills but you can’t be drinking tap water.
The chlorine will burn your delicate cell structure.  Water needs to be natural and grounded into
the minerals from the earth around it.    Look on the internet for www.findaspring.com.
Here you will find natural sources of water that are very alive and most of the time, free.

Our voices matter

We are learning a new way of being.  We are learning to get along virtually.  We are wondering if what we do and say will be heard.  It is time to pay more attention to the movement of gathering virtually.  It is possible to bring harmony and peace.

That is my vision with my classes.  To bring the hearts together, to bring the healing, to up the frequency as much as possible.

Pay attention to person-to-person virtual info.  This is how we can relate to our issues.  WE. . . can make a difference.
“The Virtual Choir” is Eric Whiteacre’s brainstorm.

In the first video, he describes how he came up with the idea and put his virtual project into action.

The second video is the first Virtual Choir recording, published about two years ago.

The third recording is his most recent opus. I highly recommend you maximize the screen to get the full effect of the graphics:

Why do I need to drink all that water?

My oldest son is graduating from college in Prescott, AZ.  So I just drove out to help him move.   I stopped and got some groceries and the gal gave me a sample of the turkey breast on sale which was cajun spiced.  I remarked to my son that is was SO spicy I couldn’t even believe it!

Ben told me that I was dehydrated.  He had learned that spicy food becomes extra spicy and even burns him.  (I had a client with blood blisters when eating spicy foods)

My next thought was, “How could I be dehydrated if I don’t even feel thirsty?”  Then I realized.  My warning mechanism were shut off and probably due to the dehydration itself.  If you can imagine that dehydration causes constipation because the colon lining can’t work without lubrication and the extraction process becomes clogged.  It is a mess.

Then I remembered the night before when I couldn’t think and I couldn’t sleep.  I just sat and did something mindless on the computer knowing I should be in bed.  That is when I realized I had shut down.  I also remembered that the day prior when I was cleaning, sorting and packing, I didn’t feel sensitive enough to do my work.   Good thing I took the day off!

Every time a client comes in for stabilization, it is very rare that they aren’t dehydrated.  Let’s assume that this is you.  The cells don’t have quite enough water to run the factory.  The cells have to begin doing work arounds, not feeling full steam ahead, and can’t get certain things done.

Toxins and fat.  If your body has toxins and the water gets low, it can’t flush them out the way it is designed to.  It would be considered a drought within your body.  The toxins would need to be stored locally until it could be moved.  There is no moving in a drought so the body wraps up the excesses and puts its it away.  What does it wrap it up with?  It makes fat.   The key to removing the toxins and thus the fat is to give your body enough flow on a consistent basis so the factory can come up to speed and start generating what you need.  Energy, cleanliness, ease, concentration, confidence.    Water alone isn’t going to solve all of the problems.  It is simply one of the cleaning products that is essential for every function of the body.  If your signals are turned off, if you are constipated, if you are gaining weight, ask yourself, do I drink enough water?

I love teaching about the body.  I love these little discoveries like spicy foods showing us we are dehydrated.  I have accumulated everything into a weekly lesson list.  The one that relates to this type of thing is called “Physical Stability”.  When you take this class, I walk you though all of the basics.  I muscle test your body for the amount of water  you should be drinking when we do that chapter.  I believe in interactive and experiential education!  So I put my “book” on the internet.   Then I ask for an appropriate fee for the guidance.

You can imagine that we can teach you about water all day long.  In my area, Orange Co., they are adding recycled sewer water back into the water system.  When you look at the lessons from the Messages in Water, we see that we must actually change the frequency of the water before we use it.   How about that sewer water and the pharmaceuticals that they are finding in it.  Maybe we do all need to be on Valium.  Kidding.

Don’t drink tap water.  Buy healthy spring water or find a spring near you.  www.findaspring.com.

Want to talk to me about how much water you should be drinking?  Write to me below.  Give me enough info that I can “tap into you”  (no pun intended) and then I will be able to find out how much water you need to drink.  If you are worried about being public, then take the Physical Stability class.  For $40.  you can find out which supplements, oils, foods, etc work for you.  We are nurturers and cleaners.  We work with love, light and joy as our tools.  (The “we” part is my partner the homeopathic “natural” doctor.  I do the seeing in, she does the solutions within the body.)  I can get you started on the basic physical stuff.  If you have prescriptions or deeper physical issues, then we call the Homie.

Remember.  Drinking water is like working out.  You might be a bit sore the first day you work out hard, but staying with it will really improve everything!  As you get stronger, you can naturally do more.  You don’t need to stretch it, but my attitude is, drink my water daily and drink a bit more if you can.  The body will begin to get even more articulate as it is restored.

Peace,

Mimi
